I've got some old word 5.1 files that Word 2007's converter doesn't seem to recognise. In fact they don't even show up when I select the WP5.1 converter. Has anyone got a work around for opening these? I'm running Vista, so I don't want to go to the trouble of reinstalling wp 5.1 if I don't have to.

For either, I seem to recall that the "default" installation of word doesn't load all the converters that are available... there may well be converters for both Word and WP that you can load into your installation of Word. -- Charlie Hoffpauir http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~charlieh/
Sorry, I'm trying to convert Wordperfect 5.1 to Word 2007. The converter is there in Word 2007, it just doesn't seem to recognise my Wordperfect files. Have you tried the old converter which you can download from my web site? That one works with my sample WP files as of this morning. -- <>>< ><<> ><<> <>>< ><<> <>>< <>><<> Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org <>>< ><<> ><<> <>>< ><<> <>>< <>><<> Bill wrote: > Sorry, I'm trying to convert Wordperfect 5.1 to Word 2007. And if Graham's converter doesn't work, try emailing me one of the WP 5.1 files, and I'll try opening on my wife's computer (she's still using a version of WP). If that works, I'll save it as a more recent version and send it back to you.
