Reliability of Open Office Writer conversions to doc
I like MS Word more than Open Office Writer, but I've been testing Writer and
I'd like to know how well it converted my document to doc format. I put the
letterhead in a frame because I've found no method of putting it in the
header of only the first page if I want OOWriter to convert it to doc format.

In MS Word, does http://www.polisource.com/misc/OOWriter-test.doc look like
the full sized version of
http://www.polisource.com/misc/doc-viewed-in-OOWriter.gif ?

Thanks in advance for helping me test this. I'll be going to the library to
test it myself, but there might be different results with different versions
of Word.

Re: Reliability of Open Office Writer conversions to doc
It looks close enough with that particular document (Word 2007 and 2003).

Re: Reliability of Open Office Writer conversions to doc
Thanks. I just downloaded MS Word Viewer 2003 and confirmed it your Word 2003
test.
