When we try to insert a comment in a Word 2007 doc, we sometimes get a pop-up box from EndNote X(which we have as an add-in) stating "unspecified error." How can we avoid this? when this happens, we don't even have EndNote running.
Further to the first post, this happens when we are working in Track Changes. The message is "Unknown Error." You may not be running EndNote but it sounds like the EndNote add-in is running. Click the Office Button and click Word Options. Then in the Add-ins section from the Manage drop down, click COM Add-ins and then click Go. If the EndNote add-in is listed deselect it and see if that resolves the issue. ~Beth Melton Microsoft Office MVP "Jan B" <Jan B@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:5DBF512F-70AF-40B4-B79D-32D95BD2CD7C@microsoft.com... > When we try to insert a comment in a Word 2007 doc, we sometimes get a > pop-up > box from EndNote X(which we have as an add-in) stating "unspecified > error." > How can we avoid this? when this happens, we don't even have EndNote > running.
