Great detail for us to work on!

What sort of file?
If it is Word, which version?
What OS?
Everything patched up to date?
Saving to local HDD or where?
Is it any file or only new files?

Re: why? Whenever I want to save a file, an error msg will occor a
Never use Word directly with any type of removable media. Always copy
to/from the local HDD. It is the number 1 way to trash documents. Please let
us know if that resolves your problem.

Re: why? Whenever I want to save a file, an error msg will occor a
It did happen in all versions of Word and there are thousands of unfortunate
Word users who learnt the hard way too. You were just lucky.

Re: why? Whenever I want to save a file, an error msg will occor a
I can't agree with you.
I always save my files on my USB flashdisk. When I was using office 03, no
problems! Problems are happened on office 07 ONLY!

Re: why? Whenever I want to save a file, an error msg will occor a
You may disagree but your wrong. Just look through these Newsgroups and you
will find loads of reports from users who have corrupted document through
working with removable media of all types.
