Great detail for us to work on! What sort of file? If it is Word, which version? What OS? Everything patched up to date? Saving to local HDD or where? Is it any file or only new files? -- Terry Farrell - MSWord MVP "SS" wrote in message news:16FA4BAC-27F1-4655-B147-03AD47AAEE4E@microsoft.com... > Whenever I want to save a file, an error msg will occor and my file will > be > deleted. Never use Word directly with any type of removable media. Always copy to/from the local HDD. It is the number 1 way to trash documents. Please let us know if that resolves your problem. It did happen in all versions of Word and there are thousands of unfortunate Word users who learnt the hard way too. You were just lucky. I can't agree with you. I always save my files on my USB flashdisk. When I was using office 03, no problems! Problems are happened on office 07 ONLY!
