I realize this isn't the first post on this, but I have been sent a zip file
containing a .exe file from a trusted source in order to fix a problem on my
computer. Unfortunately, I cannot extract the .exe file because Vista gives

windows blocked internet access to yahoo IM

Password Sign-On

When i close down in Hibernation mode with vista, the system does not require
a password sign-on when I power up. My XP O/S required it, and I would like
to have Vista require a passowrd or finger print even though I did not shut
down the system. What do I do?

Smartcard logging - No valid certificates found

Hi,
Im trying to log on to VISTA throug smartcard and when the windows validate
the credentials display this error: "No valid certificates found. check that
the card is inserted correctly and fits tighly"
Do you kno why?
In Win XP I don't have problemas to logging throug smartcard.

I have exactly the same problem.. Tried your suggestion in vain !!!
When i enter the safe mode on my VISTA os, it doesn't offer me to
access the administrator account..
seems like i'll have to FORMAT :(.. may u help ?

User Accounts

I'm logged in as an Administrator (I think) but when I go to Control Panel,
User Accounts, Change your account type - I'm told that I'm a Standard User.
The window also tells me that another user on this computer must be
administrator before I can change the account type - there is another
administrator.
