HP page with options set up, etc.
Flashes, and white bar on bottom of screen states Windows loading files
Next page box identified as System Recovery Options
Don't help problem

Vista Home Premium - why IIS log files - no functioning web server?

Using ccleaner on my laptop I find it removes large IIS files.
What do they contain?
Why not turn off the IIS functions (via ms features) and free whatever
space and time they occupy?
Any opinions?

My hard drive crashed recently after upgrading a couple months ago from
Vista to Windows 7. Prior to the hard drive crash, I completely backed
up my pc to an external hard drive. As soon as I had a new hard drive in
the pc, I restored everything. I was hoping it would restore the OS as
well but I'm back with Vista, ...

This is necroposting, but I had the same problem -- virus broke the MS-help protocol. Fix is easy enough, but I couldn't find it on Google. Perhaps this will help someone.
The key for ms-help was deleted. First you have to find the CLSID. Do a search in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\ to find the "hx p ...
