By the way, I did find and already tried the Microsoft KB solution:
'Windows Vista cannot obtain an IP address from certain routers or from
certain non-Microsoft DHCP servers'

with no success.

We have enabled the firewall rules of the group "Connect to a network
projector" to allow netproj.exe to connect to a projector with domain group
policies, local rules are not allowed.
Even if the local firewall is turned off, netproj.exe is asking me to allow

I am having a issue trying to network a vista desktop and a xp
laptop wirelessy. It does not communicate other than a simple ping. I
have run into this scenario backwards and it takes right off the bat.

i looks fine but i can't edit my offline files :S
no matter the remote computer is running or not.

Sample Code below always returns error code 1783 in Vista (SP1) but works
