Multimedia keys on Dell laptops working in x64?

I thought I'd had my Vostro 1710 all configured for x64 SP1 (with all
updates), when I noticed the multimedia keys do nothing (e.g. Volume).
Device Manager lists it as a Standard PS/2 keyboard, which AFAIK is
appropriate. Dell offers no keyboard driver for any platform. There's
nothing to do in the Keyboard ...

Is there such a thing out there? *points to topic* I seem to have to
beable to have the driver to disable the touchpad since the windows one
won't disable on the laptop.. its a sony VGNFZ180E model if you need
that info..

are you using a 32bit vista os? Becuase im trying to get my WUSB54GC to
work with a 64bit system but i cant even install any drivers at all. It
just says windows doesnt recognize them. hopefully i dont have to buy a
new adapter...or is there a way to go from a 64bit to a 32bit somehow?

i just bought a system with 64bit windows vista, and i have a WUSB54GC
wireless network adapter. I know on the linksys site the drivers for it
are for 32bit vista, but they have nothing yet for the 64bit. Ive tried
using the ralink and even the driver mrsmith made for x64 but none of

I recently had this issue as well and read a couple forums and decided
to try removing the wireless network card which happened to be a pci-e
card, which is probably why the pci-e video card I was using conflicted

I was quite surprised upon installing Vista X64 SP1 clean on my Vostro 1710
to find that WU did not have a video driver waiting for me. As a result, my
WEI numbers for video (2D and 2D) were a whopping 1.0 with the default
"Standard VGA Adapter."
