HO pavilion dv9000 recording issue

Whenever I use either the integrated microphone or an external
microphone with my HP dv9000 laptop the audio is low and almost
completely drowned out by static/hiss. This machine uses Conexant HD
audio.
It seems like when the external mic is plugged in, the integrated mic
is still enabled.

when i am sent thru email a slide show i only get the first picture when i
click on to go to the next picture nothing.. i use to click and i could go
thru all the pictures in the slide show, the problem has just recently
started with 3 slide shows.

KVM switches & Vista 64-bit?

I am not sure if the issue of 'Vista compatibility' & KVM switches is a
relevant one. (One KVM vendor I contacted claimed KVM's functioned
independently regardless of the operating system). I would like some

In previous years I used Ghost to create the image of my harddrive.
It was simple, easy procedure and very fast.
I booted up computer to the command prompt and restored harddrive in few
minutes!!!
But it was FAT32 system.
Now, with Vista I do not have a choice but to use NTSF file system.
