gears of war for pc problem please help!

I bought gears of war for the pc about 3 weeks ago. and everything was going
fine. Until today.... i loaded the game today,a nd all of my saved info was
gone. i couldnt continue a campaign, couldnt load previous chapters, and all
of my cogtags were gone. basically, somehow, all of my information was gone,

I got Brock's solution to work. I made a couple of added changes:
** <PieceStyle>*0*</PieceStyle>
** <BoardStyle>*0*</BoardStyle>
II don't know if that had anything to do with it actually working. But
after I closed down the program and tried again, it started working.

Games Explorer doesn't open

For some strange reason when i try to open games explorer it automatically

Sorry of this naive question. I just started with V64.
Can not open any original game what came with Vista.
When I go to Start-->Games = see "Games Explorer" only, not list of games.
When open "Games Explorer" see all 9 games. One click on game= see rating of
game. Two click = see "Saved Games" screen but can ...

System Shock 2 Multiplayer?

Has anyone gotten this multiplayer to work on Vista? It seems to freeze
up for me whenever I attempt to host, or connect to someone after
inputting the address.
Other than multiplayer not working out, I've been able to successfully
play the game solo, with videos and all, having no problems whatsoever.

America's Army v2.8.3.1, unable to load in game.

So I have this new Vista x64 up and running. Downloaded, installed and
ran the latest AA version. Everything is fun until I try to enter a
server. I can start the game, go into the main menu, adjust my settings
bla bla.. but when I load a server, or join a game, Windows will close
AA saying that something has went ...

Call of Duty 4 issues...

I get a lot of lagg when i play cod4. Whenever i join a server, my ping is
usually about 35-70 but as i keep playing, it goes up to 300 or more. It goes
really high and then it drops and repeats. I have a laptop with Windows Vista
32 bit, Dual core, 1.8ghz with 3gb ram, Nvidia GeForce 8400m GS with 256 mb

Has anyone found the solution yet ?!
I was able to play the game fine on a low spec win98 PC with a simple
Riva TNT 64 (does any one remember these??) and unable to do so on my
much higher spec winXP laptop with an ATI X1400 ...
really frustrating
Age of nations, AoE III and the rest are all ok ...
