Vista problem loading Games

I received these errors when trying to load wild tangent games on my HP
laptop with Microsoft Vista.
Game Explorer registration error. There was a problem adding this game
to the game Explorer window. The error code is 80004005.
Installation will continue, but the game may not display properly in

...With Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna, I get an "ATLCOM Helper
Exception" error, with KOTOR and KOTOR2 I recieve compatability
problems, though they are in compatability mode. LOTR: Return of the

location of Vista game files

Where on my hard-drive does Vista store the files for the games that come
pre-installed, specifically Chess Titans? I would like to assign that game
to a hot-key on my keyboard, but I don't know what its path is. I can't
find its executable file anywhere, and if I right-click on it in the Games
folder ther ...

You need a 8xxx card for DX10. None of the 7xxx cards support DX10.
Few cards support DX10.1. You can only run in DX9x mode.

Yes you can run lost planet in DX9 but he said in his post DX10 wont
::Initialize when he tries to run the game in DX10 mode. It wont

Also try turning off all the visual bells and whistles on vista. IE

Medieval Total War II, was installed on the Administrator desktop, fine no
problems there. When you switch to the guest desktop, and the Medieval
Total War II, disk is in the drive, it tries to install the game, then it
