loading problems

I have just bought a new laptop with Vista installed. It seems that any game
i try and load won't be accepted. Sometimes there isn't even an error
message. Other times it says error with driver.
Will vista not let me run anything ?

I accidently deleted my Interface folder from WOW. I went back in and put a
new one but when I put addons in the addons folder wow doesn't recognize them.
Is there anywhere that I can download a Interface folder from somewhere that
will work or will I have to reinstall WOW? I really don't want to have to do

I had also saved a game in a moment of delirium, and was beginning to
get really hacked off that it wouldn't go away, even after it had been
won. My eternal gratitude for posting the solution. You may have saved

This is a long shot, i'm trying to play The Settlers (yes the first one
from way back in 1994) under Vista. This game worked fine in XP but in
Vista even with compatibility enabled I get an error saying it can't run
in full screen mode.
When using dosbox I get the error "PCM sound hardware not found."

It wont work for. it open a fully transparent window and plays sounds.
I got vista home premium 64bit and ati HD3870TOP with drivers that came
with my card. Someone help me.

GPU: G84
Revision: A2
Driver: Forceware 175.19
I updated the driver about 2 weeks ago, checked nVidia website today,
it's still the newest version out.
The game states that it does not recognize the card, however under
options, the 8600GTS appears in the video card slot.

Now I get a message that says "Video hardware unrecognized. Video
quality settings defaulting to Medium Quality." The game starts to run,
I get through the initial few screens, then I get the famous "Oblivion
stopped working" pop-up.
