I was playing around with the security on a folder that had pics in
it, and now I am not able to view the pics due to the security being
activated on it. I have tried everything I can think of to allow myself

I have a file, call it fred.txt.
I want to locate it. I start at the top of the file
hierarchy (harddrive c: (computer\harddrive C (not
desktop)). As I type into the search window, winexplorer
churns away and produces a "yellow pages" full of files, but

im really new to Vista and im beginning to hate it already.
Im the only user on my laptop, im a gamer so updating addons and such is
importan. I use gaming addons to update my addons.
BUT Vista wont let me - claims I dont have the administrative rights to
handle those files??

Had some issues with my login profile, basically when I selected my
account and entered my password and I was given some message about being
unable to load my profile. Luckily I had two administrator logins.
Initially I tried just changing the password to my account to see if any
changes to the account may solve ...

Deleted folder appears again

Hi, I have deleted an unwanted folder(which is empty) from my user's
music sub-folder. But it came back later. I tried either to empty the
Recycle Bin folder and leave it there but the unwanted folder just want
to be presente. How to delete it definitely?

Cannot stop file sharing on a directory

My documents folder appears to have become shared with another user on my
computer. I want to turn this off. Alternatively I would like to turn it off
for a sub folder of my documents. I am using Vista Home Premium.

Deleteing Files in a folder based on date!

Hi -
I have a folder that contains about 250,000 zipped files. Windows explorer is
having tremendous difficulty opening such folder, even when it displays
results (after 10 or so minutes) it hangs after I even highlight any files
for deletion. a lot of these files go back to 2006 and 2007.
I kindly NEED a D ...
