Im trying to setup a backup in Vista, but I don't want the system to monitor certain locations, such as my download folder and others such as where I have subversion repositories and change too fast and too often. Vista Backup does not backup prefs.js (and what else ?)     Tue, 22 Jul 2008 05:18:43 -0500
I've recently had a rather disturbing experience with Vista Backup. I recently had to restore my D: (data) drive from a full file backup. The backup was only a day old, so no data should have been missing. The restore seemed to work fine, however when I started Thunderbird it acted like the profile was empty. A ...

Managing External Hard Drive - "You'll need to provide administrator permission"     Sun, 20 Jul 2008 23:35:34 +0100
Hello everyone. I'm hoping that someone here will be able to help me in this predicament. Ever since I shifted to Vista, it's been a very different experience compared to XP. It certainly feels a lot more stable and faster (believe it or not!), but productive-wise, I find it a tad too protective. Off to my issues ...
