Hi All,
Wondering when Windows Update installs updates does it install it in the
"Local System" user context ? If so what happens to the patches if they need
user intervention (like the Win2k3 SP2) ? Does the Windows Update service run
as a "Interact with Desktop" ? or is it just the patch which can interact ...

WSUS 3.0 & Office 2003 SP3

Hi,
I was just wondering why Office 2003 SP3 does not appear as an option to
install etc under WSUS 3.0. I can't even find it from the Update Catalogue.
Judging by the comments here on SP3 it looks like it is a good thing it is
not available <g>.

Update observations

The Update catalog routine has been set to capture pirated MS versions so
you must log on and validate your PC condition using PID/GUID and encrypted
data that is sent back via telemetry means to MS servers for validation.
Doesn't sound unreasonable, does it.
BUT, wait until the source code for Software Lic ...

Update Notice Keeps Appearing Even Though Updates are Complete

This isn't a huge problem, but it is annoying. The yellow update icon keeps
appearing and when I hover over it with my mouse I get "Downloading Updates
0%". At the time this happens, I am not downloading any updates. Any idea
why this is occurring and how I can fix it?
