government? Frank concludes that We have gone from civilized law to "jungle law"

Thu, 13 Apr 2006 12:33:29 -0500
Howdy,
My application wants to allow our users (mostly in a home setting, no
domain controller) to share a folder on Windows XP without running the
XP Network Wizard or using Windows File Manager to authorize file
sharing for the computer.
What we want to do is automate the user action of using Windows ...

Check if a local port is bound
Tue, 4 Apr 2006 23:17:50 +0200
Hi,
is there any way to check if a local UDP port is bound
other than actually trying to bind?
I read on MSDN that a port that has been bound is
not immediately available again for bindung after closesocket.
Unfortunately I can't do this in a single step (like try
to bind and leave it) but I need to te ...

30 Mar 2006 20:06:22 -0800
Hi All,
Hopefully someone out there has seen this problem and can help me
out...
I have a remote machine's IPv6 address and I want to find out its MAC
address. How would I do this? I know that with IPv4, you could just
call SendARP. One possible solution I've thought of is to send an ICMP
to the remot ...
