directshow samples compilation and .ax files...

hi,
i would like to compile directshow samples and use them in a filtergraph.
As far as i know, to register custom filters we need to use .ax files
and register them with the regsvr32 utility.
I thought the best way to get those .ax files was to compile the
samples... but the Makefile only generates .dll or ...
