i have a custom filter, derived from CTransInPlaceFilter, used in the
following configuration:
....-> Custom Filter -> Video Compressor -> AVI Mux -> File Writer
(this forms part of a multi-chain filter graph)

I have just installed the Aug 2005 DirectX SDK. I have some questions:
a. My VS .NET is installed with the Jan 2004 MSDN Library. When I launched
VS.NET for the first time after the DirectX SDK was installed, there was
some churning of disk while it merged the DirectX SDK documentation into VS
