White space in parameters passed to WEB Service

My Windows client sends an object array to my WEB Service. If one of the
items in the object array is of type string and contains only spaces the
spaces are trimmed when arriving at the WEB service.
Why? Is there anything I can do to avoid this?
(Both client and WEB Service are written in C# using .NET F ...

MSXML posting SOAP message with Client Certificate
