While trying to restore from backup on a machine running xp home, I
accidently inserted a backup disk from an xp pro machine. Now When trying to
reboot, right after the dos command of "boot from disk", I get an error msg
of "windows detected a serious problem, and shutdown to avoid damage". It

I installed a portable cd burner on my daughters computer HP cd-writer 8200
series. Windows disabled it saying that it needed a newer version of Easy CD
Creator but it disabled her CD rom drive as well and even though I have

My Computer does not recognise floppy drives. USB or Onboard.

I had to shut my pc down the other day and when I rebooted it My computer
failed to recognise it. It shows up in Device manager with a yellow
exclamation mark.
It gives an Error 31 message that it cannot load the device driver files
because of a conflict with another device.
