.TMP files remaining after Save Excel work

Recently when I save my work in an Excel file I've found that after closing
Excel the TMP file hasn't been deleted. My OS is Windows XP and I'm wondering
if my Trend Micro Security suite or my HP Scanner software might be causing

Cannot register subscription

I have jsut purchased an MSDN subscription and received the eagreement email
however when I try and log in I get an 'Internal Error' screen.
any ideas on how to proceed?
my password is a strong password and the email address the eagreement was
sent to is the same as my MSDN login, I have also cleared all cookie ...
