WMP error on certain sites

I have WMP 9 and Flip4Mac and on some sites/ pages that I try to watch video
I get an error message "WMP cannot play this file because the Player does
not support this file format". Does anyone know how to fix this? I have a Mac
OSX 10.4.8, and I have tried to play the video in both Safari and Firefox.

Putting a Voice Recording on CD

I recorded a brief voice message of about 6 minutes on an Olympus Digital
Voice Recorder and downloaded it to my Mac Powerbook. It plays fine on the
computer in Windowns Media Player 9 for Mac OS X. But when I transferred it
to a CD-R and burned it, nothing happened when I put the disc in an ordinary

Ripping in WMP 10 "[#]" displayed..

When a CD is ripped to my library is completed, I go into the Artist ablum
folder within the library and select.... I have begun to notice that after
the name of the track (song title) there is "[#]" ....when searching for
Ablum info,,,the seach again list the song totle with a "[#]"

Media Player starts and stops while loading

Why does my media player load in spurts? It'll load for 4 or 5 seconds then
play for 4 or 5 seconds then stop and load again for 4 or 5 seconds then play
again for 4 or 5 seconds and repeats this procees untill the video is loaded?
It takes probably 3 or 4 times longer to load a video than it should.

Media player 11 visualizations no longer work.

They all show a black screen except the Yule log shows up but no animation
and the Pulsingcolors musical island shows up put it is distorted. I Have
reinstalled a couple of times. Tried system restore, tried ALL the KB
suggestions I could find blah blah blah blah. Any ideas?

speaker problems

I have Media 11 plus Skype (voipe). I usually have the audio for the skype
and media player coming out of the speakers and use the mic for speaking into
when I make a phone call. for about the last week the Media player only has
been playing through the ear phones but everything else through the speakers. ...

Difficulty downloading music from the internet to WMP 11

I first noticed a problem when I tried to download a music video from MTV
onto my Windows Media Player 11. It downloaded really slow. I waited for
