PPTX files getting deleted

Hello,
lately when I've been saving presentations as pptx on my desktop and I then
I get a file folder saying "FILE NAME.pptx Folder" The file will save on my
desktop, but once I close Powerpoint my file disappears. I don't know where
it goes.
Can I get the info back from the files in that folder? an ...

save as Package doesn't seem to do it

Cannot insert chart in Powerpoint 2008

All right, I was wanting to click that my question had been answered. I thought there was a check-box to that effect, but maybe I'm misremembering and there was only the question "does this answer the question?", as a clickable link.
But when I'm signed in, "Does this answer the question" does not appear anymore. ...

How do I add Audio to Powerpoint?
