PowerPoint and Charts

I just did the new Office 2008 SP1 update.
I'm running Leopard on a MacBookAir.
I opened a PPT file that was created just before the update was done.
The file had several charts included.
When I opened the file after the update, all the charts had messages that
read "out of memory or corrupt file"

been created as master slides - which obviously isn't ideal for presenting...
There are a lot of slides in the document so I'm really hoping that there's
