Gif Animation Background & Converting 2004 Presentations

opened ppt files go straight to presentation

After I download a ppt and open it, the ppt goes straight into presentation. When I hit esc to exit the presentation I can not edit the presentation, nor print it (which is what I'm looking to do). If you have any ideas please let me know. ...

Powerpoint and Word automatic shutdown

Can you please tell me how to fix this? Every time I use Powerpoint and
almost every time I use Word show this error message upon closing: PPT/Word
has experienced an error and needs to close. What gives?
