Clip Art 08 Converts WMV to bitmap.

In the "Good Old Days" of Office V.x adding clip art from MicroSoft into Clip
Art Gallery left the format of the art alone. In the "Less Useful New Days"
the same process using Clip Art Gallery 08 converts the art to a bitmap,
making it somewhat tougher to work with.
Why was this done?
Can it be undone? ...
