MSN Messenger - numbers after contact's Yahoo ID ?

I recently downloaded MSN Messenger for Mac and was unable to sign in like everyone else.
Luckily for me, this was easily resolved by changing my password to one that only consisted of alphabetic characters. However, this had made my password much less secure, which I am not happy about!

Every time i try to sign into mac messenger i get a box that says this account does not have permission to use windows live id and my account is fine because ive used it for hotmail and i used my messenger account before but now it doesnt work...ive called like four diffe ...

I JUST INSTALLED THE MESSENGER AND EVERYTHING SEEMS TO BE OKAY BUT WHEN I TRY TISIGN IN I GET A MSG INDICATING THAT THE SIGN IN FAILED BECAUSE THE ID OR PASSWORD IS INCORRECT.....BUT I CHECKED IT DOES MATCH, THE ID AND PASSWORD ARE CORRECT.....ANY IDEIA AS TO WHY I GET TH ...

Every time I sign in using name and password I get an MSN Messenger error
dialogue box that says:'Sign in to MSN Messenger failed because the service
is not available to you or you may not be connected to the internet.'
As I am definately on-line and I downloaded the Messenge ...

i'm using messenger for mac, and the contact display pictures for
those users using windows live messenger will not show up.
this has been posted about extensively in this newsgroup but no one
has any solutions or workarounds... any ideas? ...

MAC msn "_____ has signed in" not showing

When people sign in and u get emails, theres a lil bubble for notifications that shows up in the right hand corner.
If you right click the notification when it pops up u can make them so they dont come up.
I did that, but now i want them back :(
