Good to hear i am far from the only one having this problem!!!!! Doesn't help any of us though. I have tried all the above and still get the error message everyone else gets. I have installed messenger7. Does it have anything to do with Leopard? This has just been installed in an upgrade. Its very frustrating! :chag ...

I got my mac a year a go, and i installed the messenger:mac 6.0.1, i
had no problems with it, but when i updated to 6.0.3 i started having
this problem:
when I try to login using my usual msn ID witch is by the way not
@hotmail or live or msn i ger this: sing in failed because the
password is incorrect ...

I had same problem here as you, till I done the following:
A) Make sure Messenger is in your Application folder, not inside your
Microsoft Office folder.
B) Go to your preferences (home folder/Library/Preferences/Microsoft and
delete the following:-
com.microsoft.Messenger.plist
Its worth doing ...

Hi there,
I'm having the exact same problem except the error message I get is that the network is having problems or that I'm not connected to the Internet.
However, Adium and Mercury Messenger are signing in perfectly fine, and the old version of MSN on my other mac is signing on fine as well.

as I have wrote in the subject, we use OCS2007.
I checked the server and the ISA several times. Couldn't be the server. MOC2007 is working as well remotly.

I change many times the password but Messenger 7.0 on my mac still say "error in password". But is the correct password! The same that I use to enter in email account. No problem for the email accunt....problem for messenger. Why? Someone could help me? ...
