Using OE to access an Outlook server

something like Thunderbird, Windows Live Mail or the old standby, Outlook

cant send/receive mail

Hi
Can anyone help me. I have just had a healthcheck done aand now cant
send/receive mail. Its asking for a user name nd password. The message I
get is

Compacting Popup Problem and "From" question

Problem 1 is that recently, I keep getting an OE popup that says: "To free up
disk space OE can compact messages. This may take some time. OK of Cancel"
When it pops up, it freezes everything else until you either click OK or
