Emails with company headers extremely slow to open

I am running Outlook Express 6 on XP Windows SP3. When I try to open an
email which has an advertised header from a company it takes 5 minutes to
open and during that time it states on the blue line above "not responding"
then when it finally opens it responds again. I am also have issues with the
internet ...

OE ver 6 Attachments on every mail

I have recently ben experiencing problems with OE attachments. Every line
shows an attachment under the attachment column although most of my incoming
mails do not have an attachment. Now it has selected certain mailers and
removed their attachments, whilst still showing them in the column.
