Pass code required for original XBox??

I recently sold an original XBox on eBay that was working perfectly
before I shipped it. I verified it worked by asking 2 of my boys to
play a Star Wars XBox game for a while before I mailed it.
The buyer says the console is asking for a pass code before a game
will load, and I have no idea what he's talking ...

I cannot believe this. I used to love Xbox but M$'s number 1 purpose on
making money is forcing me away. I got a US account some time ago without
realising (actually without caring, I dont like giving people my real
address). So even though it allowed me to a) create a US account b) add MS
points I purchased ...
