BUG using VSS 2005 with Access 2007
Fri, 11 Apr 2008 17:36:00 -0700
I have the following problem:
I set an access database to use source safe. Before I close the database,
everything works fine.
After I close the database from the first time after it was added to source
control, the object source control group of the source control tab becomes
grayed out and I can't use it ...

Is the time zone bug fixed?
Wed, 9 Apr 2008 06:46:01 -0700
We currently use VSS 6 for our version control system. We are evaluating
what to use for our Next Big Project.
We have developers in America, Europe, and Japan. Our big objection to
using SourceSafe is the time zone problem. As a result of the time zone
problem, we each maintain a separate source safe se ...

View conflicts on check in
Tue, 1 Apr 2008 09:36:04 -0700
Hi;
When checking in on some files I get the message "Have any conflicts in
filename been properly resolved?" - Is there some way to have an option for
it to show me my version vs the version on the server and how VSS will merge
them?
At present I have to write each one down, say no, go do a diff on each ...

SourceSafe as a Developer Tool
Wed, 26 Mar 2008 17:38:56 -0700 (PDT)
My understanding of Visual SourceSafe is that it is a code repository
tool, used to check-in and check-out code. It provides various levels
of access (read-only, read-write) to limit who can modify the code.
Recently a co-worker had tried to convince me that you can develop
code with VSS, that it in fact had t ...

Copying a sourcesafe project with history
Tue, 25 Mar 2008 08:06:09 -0700 (PDT)
Hi
I would like to know if the only/easiest way to copy a sourcesafe
project including its history is to Share and Branch?
I am talking about a copy within the same database.
What bothers me with the fact that I can do it using a Share/Branch is
that I have the feeling (I am not sure) that they still are ...

Branches the same file into 3 different branches
Tue, 25 Mar 2008 02:54:13 -0700 (PDT)
Hi everybody,
I tried to look in the past posts but I couldn't find out anything
helpful ...
I'm running three different branches of the same project. Let's call
it 5.00 (the main) 4.01 and 4.10 (which are the patches).
If I have a file branched between 5.00 and 4.01 I can't branch it into
4.10 too (the menu b ...

Source Safe Licensing
Mon, 24 Mar 2008 12:54:01 -0700
I'm trying to determine the restrictions (if any) on the use of VSS 6.0
across multiple departments at a university.
I've been assigned the task of determining the licensing agreement and my
predecessor does not have any documentation.
Can someone point me in the right direction ...

Upgrade SourceSafe6.0d to SourceSafe2005
Wed, 19 Mar 2008 08:41:02 -0700
I have SourceSafe6.0d managing files from VisualStudio6.0 and Visual Studio
.NET 2003.
I am installing the Visual Studio .NET 2005 in some computers.
I have some questions about this:
1. SourceSafe6.0d can manage Visual Studio .NET 2005 files?
2. Upgrade from SourceSafe6.0d to SourceSafe2005 is a direct ...
