Getting CheckOut info with Automation?

Hi,
I'm just starting to work with VSS automation, and I see how to get most of
the info I'm looking for, but I don't see any way to get info about when a
file was checked out. Is it possible?
In other words, can I find out how long it was checked out for?

VSS2005 and VS.NET 2003 twice as slow as VSS6.0D and VS.NET 2003

I had high hope on VSS2005 in a WAN environment so it's a real
disappointment that I found VSS2005 and VS.NET 2003 are twice as slow
as VSS6.0D and VS.NET 2003.
On a new machine I installed VSS2005, then VS.NET 2003. I was able to
check in and out. The new VSS client seems to be a little faster.

We are trying to add a new user through the Visual SourceSafe Administrator
client tool. Everytime we are trying to add it keeps saying
File "E:\DATA\VSSDATA\HFAPP\users" not found.
Our VSS database is under "E:\DATA\VSSDATA\HFAPP\".
The folder users do exists under the path specified. After clicking ok ...

(or in detail: one project on Server A has to be synchronized with a copy on
Server B).

VS2005 - Controlling Server Access

I have Visual Studio 2005 on my laptop. I access my Visual SourceSafe server
over a VPN.
During the work day, the VPN becomes incredibly slow.
If I do a "Get Latest" and attempt to compile my project at 10:00 am, the
compile takes 4 hours. If I do the exact same thing at 5:00 pm, the compile
takes 20 ...

Studio 2005 and PVCS

I had Studio 2005 and VSS 2005 working. Then I installed PVCS. When I open
my solutions, Studio 2005 is using PVCS. Could any tell me how to change
Studio 2005 back to using VSS 2005?

work if the current user doesn't have the administrator privilage. Is it a
