VS 2005
I have a solution that contains files from two different folders that also
exist in two seperate folders in SourceSafe. The vfproj file is in the same
folder as one set of files and when I added files from the other folder it
gave me a message about not being able to add this set to source control ...

What is the purpose of the "Enable Web Projects" feature and the "Deploy a
Project to a Server" features of VSS 2005? It seems like a glorified file
copy copying everything including .cs files to the server. The documentation
doesn't say much.

this issue where if one developer deletes a file on his local or on the
server, the other developers still havea copy of the file on their
local. SVN deletes the local copy if the file is deleted on the server

VSS 2005 - broken labels after migrating

I have moved big project from VSS 6 to VSS 2005 using archive/restore
process.
Now command-line tools refuse to see majority of labels. I have tried
running analyze many times, ddconv returns 'you already have good
version'.
Basically this line (from my script):
"%SSPATH%" GET "$/dcpk/Sources/config" -VL0. ...

Hi,
I'm working with VSS 8.0 and Visual Studio 8.0(2005). The VSS server was
installed on a Win2K server that had VS8.0 however, when I bring up the VS it
doesn't have VSS in the menu. I can start the VSS from Start->Program->VSS.
But how I can incorporate it in the VS just like I have on another machin ...

I am trying to get a specific version of a project using get so I am using
-Vl but the label I have has spaces and periods in it which seem to be
causing problems.
(I have to use the command line - i am writing a script)
here is what I have: (the label is: "v2.1 - Qa")

I want to search a project (and all subprojects) to see if it contains
a file of a specific name.
