I've created two new node types, one of which is a 'virtual folder' for
my project package. I've specified the MenuCommandId for my virtual

Is there any way to specify that one file is dependent on another within
the vstemplate file for an ItemTemplate.
I'm using the following, but when I add this to my project it doesn't
show the vb file being dependent on the ascx.

I want to say I am very much looking forward to this emerging technology.
To test it out, I:
1. Converted the Reference.MenusAndCommands sample ctc file to a vsct
file.
2. Wrote a new VSCT ToolTask for MSBuild.
3. Modified the example project (.csproj) file and replaced the

Add-ins versus packages

I have read some web pages regarding this, still it is a little unclear
to me.
Is is possible to explain the difference, without using too many words?
As I understand, add-ins can be written, compiled and sold as-is by
anyone having Visual Studio .Net professional and upwards.
