Hi,
I am using VSS 6.0. Whenever i login through VSS admin. i am getting the
error message like " Invalid sysntax on line 33 of file \\VSS path
\users\admin\ssadmin.ini.
When i click ok then it is prompting " Too many SS.ini environments
strings". again i give ok , it saying the same error on line 34 ...

I am facing a critical and peculiar problem in VSS 6.0. When i try to add a
new user i am getting error message. like File:\\(VSSpath)\users" not
found. But it is creating a folder in the user directory and updatting the
users.txt file in the VSSsystem folder and also not showing in the

Permissions problems after installing W2K3 Server SP 1

I began having errors checking in files from VS.NET after installing W2K3
Server SP 1 on my server, which is the domain controller along with my web
server.
I imagine some permissions must have been wiped out, but I don't know where
to look.

VSS, Analyze, and Check-in Policy

Is it necessary to check all files in for Analyze to work correctly? We are having some trouble with it and the DB Admin is saying we have to check in everything once a week, ready or not, in order to fix it. Problem in binding vs.net to vss

In my machine vss was installed after installing vs.net. I am getting the source control options in the file as disabled. How can i bind my vs.net to vss. Do i have to re-install vs.net.

I have set up Visual Studio to run with VSS (latest versions) by following
the Team Development Guide. I am having two main problems.
Firstly, am i right in thinking that if one developer deletes a file from
his local project (that is included in source control) he then has to go
into the VSS database ...

Im doing some reorganization and have a question about sharing. If I create
a new project in VSS and drag file fro a different project into the new one,
what will happen if I delete the files from the old project. Will all
histor remain intact in the new files?

Problem with Checked out files

We have a following problem:
Users who forgot to make check in after that left our company. Even
their computer does not exist any more. Those files are still in
"Checked Out" status.
What would you recommend? We cannot maintain our ss with this problem.
