asp.net vss files not compiling

Im having a problem with more than 1 asp.net project under vss; a specific
file (not all the files, maybe 1 per project) compiles ok, but the file
keeps the "*" next to the file name, in other words, it seems to think it
hasnt been successfully compiled. Sometimes it acts like the file has
compiled, and ...

Team Foundation beta 2 question

My puzzles:
1. It seems it finally supports http/https. Does that mean I can access a
Team Foundation server from anywhere over the Internet (I think the answer is
yes, but just want to confirm it)?
2. I see it requires Windows Server 2003. It also mentions SQL Server 2005,
but I am not sure if it also ...

Open Solution using vs.net 2003 "open from source control" problem

i have 4 solutions in my source folder vss (root) other subfolders
contains lot of projects.
4 different solutions (vs.net solution) contians difft. projects..

Now... everything works fine when I bind the solution to VSS.
The problem appear when I try to "Open solution from source safe..." from
another development machine.

Our VSSDB is growing and growing... almost to > 8GB !! Somewhere I read that
only 3-5 GB are recommend for a lucky live with vss.. avoiding inconsistency
and things like that.
Now, time to think about a few reorganisation tasks or something like
that... otherwise we maybe running very soon into funny si ...

I've upgraded VSS to 2005 beta 2 in hopes of using VSS via http.
When I go to VSS-Server/Config...and check the appropriate boxes and hit
next.
I then get the msg 'Visual Studio Internet needs the WebDAV and ASP.NET Web
