Seach for
£100; Index Server doesn't find 100 or £100; tried quotes and
everything else it says in the Microsoft Documentation
£123,456; with or without the pound sign; tried the NN123 etc but does
not find
4.5% or 10%; returns numbers without the % sign, we need to find
percentages only ...

Indexserver starts indexing of all indexed documents

Hello,
I have an indexserver with 109000 Word-Documents in his catalog. Every day
100 documents were added. But the index-service restarts indexing all
documents several times a day, not only the new documents.

Is there any differences between indexing algorithm in windows 2000 and
2003?
I have the same French documents on windows 2000 and the phrase search is
working great but it doesn't work on windows 2003.

We use Index server for our search page on our site.
Our search page uses VB.net (framework 2) to query the index server
catalogs, which works fine. The problem is that for now, the indexing
service indexes the content of the files, but seems to ignore our meta tags.
Would someone be able to explain me ...

could anybody point me to a list or tool that can show me which file
extensions are handled by Indexing Service?
I believe the information is stored in the registry, but I would need to
visit a large number of classes to see their details and check if they are
handled by IS.

I know MOSS2007/WSS3.0 include iFilter support for Office2007, but does
anyone know how to get an Office2007 iFilter for plain old Indexing Service?
Or do I just install a minimal WSS3.0?
