Incremental indexing efficiency

I am indexing my dotText blog content by construct pages that contain
the URLs to all the individual posts and articles on my dotText blog.
I set my source of the index to the directory in my SBS2003 intranet
site, a straight IIS/FrontPage site, and set the index to read all the

Word location within a PDF document

I've downloaded and installed the ADOBE IFilter 6.0 and it is
successfully indexing PDF documents. My object is to find a particular
word in a particular location within a page, determine what page that

My Indexserver finds all files I have marked with "OK". But I'm missing two
files...
Does anybody know how to find these files?

Indexing large amount of files on a different server

I plan to index a large amount of files (about 2million+ files, mostly MS
Word document with 3-10 pages).
This index will be querry by an intranet web application and I would like to
get the best performances on these querries.

Using Windows XP as an Index server?

We have about 200-600GB (no one knows!) of data on a netwok share. Of this
data we only want to index the word documents, possibly 5,000 files.
Here's the plan:
1. Enable the Indexing Service on a *dedicated* Windows XP machine to create
a catalog of the files on the Server.

For this, I created a local user on Machine1 and granted full privileges to
