APS query form resturns no results
Mon, 12 Dec 2005 12:25:03 -0800
I am using indexing service to index files on a Windows Server 2003 and on a
Windows 2000 server. Further I use the (modified) query.asp to query the
catalog. This works fine on W2k, but on W2k3 the same code always returns "No
documents matched the query". But when I enter the query from the MMC console

We are migrating from IIS 4.0 to IIS6.0. Web site is running fine and so is

I have Windows XP with Windows XP Service Pack 2. The search on "A word or
Phase in the file" doesn't work properly. I did some research and understood
how search on XP works differently than Win2000 ...

Please kick me (in the right direction :)

preferrably DOS one, not regex)?
#filename = *250033*.* is not working, *250033*.tif is. What's wrong please?
Thanks a lot

Hello,
I am planning to experiment with an online service technology for file
sharing something similar to sendthisfile.com or putfile.com where
there is a huge storage requirement and bandwidth
Any ideas of a cost effective storage solution (in Linux or MS) which
could be implemented from a home-office. ...

Property-value query with special characters
Tue, 6 Dec 2005 11:49:02 -0800
I'm having problems figuring out the correct syntax for this. In an ASP app,
I'm using Index Server to show all documents in a given folder that a user
has rights to. I have my scopes and directories all set up and I basically
pass in a subfolder path to search for using the @path property. The problem

How to preserve permissions via a webpage search?
6 Dec 2005 09:40:10 -0800
Hi. I'm trying to setup an intranet search page which incorporates two
catalogs which have NTFS permissions set to restrict access. I have the
catalogs setup OK on the W2k server, and I can query them successfully
from the MMC. At this point the permissions are retained - users only
see results for documents t ...
