Help: IS adds unwanted directroy to catalogs

I have a catalog that has a remote directory to index, the directory has
been added to the catalog's list of directories to index as a UNC share.
For some reason IS randomly adds this UNC share to other my catalogs as a
virtual directory.

Help: Iterating thru ixQuery recordset hangs on movenext

I have created an ASP search engine for my web server that has the following
problem.
When iterating thru an ixQuery recordset the "movenext" statement can take
5-6 seconds to execute!

APS query form resturns no results

I am using indexing service to index files on a Windows Server 2003 and on a
Windows 2000 server. Further I use the (modified) query.asp to query the
catalog. This works fine on W2k, but on W2k3 the same code always returns "No

syntax for simple search for IIS6.0 (index server 4 ?)

We are migrating from IIS 4.0 to IIS6.0. Web site is running fine and so is
the index server, but the query to search the site does not return any
results instead I get, page can not be found.
We were using a 'htm', 'idq' and 'htx' file and it worked fine with IIS4.0.

Strange problem with Indexing service on windows 2000 server

I was redirected to this group to re-post my question. Still not sure if it
is in the right group.
I have Windows XP with Windows XP Service Pack 2. The search on "A word or
Phase in the file" doesn't work properly. I did some research and understood
how search on XP works differently than Win2000 ...
