Index server not returning shtml files

Hello
I have created a search using asp and none of my shtml files are being
returned. I am able to see everything else (html, asp, pdf).
Is there something I need to select in the preferences? Or create some type
of filter?

Hi.
we have a cluster with two nodes. They have the same software installed.
The sites replicate well from node 1 to node 2.
We have configured index server the same way in both servers. The catalogs
find the same number of files 47431 (most of all PDF's 32793).
The size of the catalogs are very differ ...

I have a intranet server (using windows auth) and a file server that I
want indexed. Should I have the intranet server index the file server?
I don't think the file permissions stay intact with this option. Should
the file server index itself? Can the intranet server read/access the
catalog on the remot ...

The cisvc.exe is started under services.
the check box for "Index Service" is checked under add/remove programs.
running windows 2000 server.
asp.net 1.1 framework
MDAC 2.6
Under task manager i see cisvc.exe running.
I never see cidaemon.exe running??
Please help.

Indexing Service Query to Intranet?

Hi all,
how can I make it so that my intranet can just use the same form the
computer management index sercice form uses?
I don't need anything fancy, I just need it to search one directory on
my server. It works wonders when I search thru computer management, how
can I get this onto a web intranet?

Getting an accurate hitcount when including an filename LIKE

I noticed that when I have a Where Clause that has a CONTAINS() looking for a
word like "test" I get an accurate hitcount back. For instance when I have a
file that has two lines that contain the word, I get a hitcount of 2 back for
the file.

Forcing the index server to index

When using the Index Server admin, catalog, and scope interfaces in C#, I
need to have the index start indexing as soon as I add the new scopes. I have
my code testing the DocumentsToFilter property of the catalog, can't get the
indexing started unless I manually go to the Index Service.
