We have had a problem for the past week with sending emails to hotmail and
msn email address mainly.
We have fixed DNS problems and rebooted the Exchange 2003 server
(v6.5.6944.0) and as of Friday afternoon, the messages went through. Now

Local SMTP server instead of my ISP:s???

I have run into a problem with my ISP's SMTP server in that they have
started to do content filtering on *outgoing* email! They actually
block all email going out that contain attached files of type .exe
..com .vbs, .pif, .scr .bat .cmd .com .mim .b64 .bhx .hqx .xxe .uu .uue

im sending messages using microsoft CDO classes.
mails are received quite fast to the drop directory, but after i
process them - and use Send() - they stay very long time in
"C:\Inetpub\mailroot\Queue" until they get to the final server (gmail
for instance).

Running IIS 6.0, the SMTP Server. On the delivery tab is all of the
retry times. How can I get the server to never retry (I can't put 0 in
the retry boxes). I only want it to send once and that is all...
