FTP AD user isolation login

i tried to setup ftp user isolation using AD. But i couldn't
login to my ftp site with my login name and password. According to
microsoft article, it is because i didn't set the ftpdir. I tried using
script like "iisftp /setadprop myname ftpdir myfolder" and it set to

I have some problems by virtual directory with network shares.
Situation1:
We have on Server1 ftp installed. Server1 is a Windows Server 2000 SP4.
On ftp Server 1 I created a new virtual directory with the name PRODUCT.
The virtual directory (PRODUCT) is a network share on Server2
\\server2\ftpfolder.

I am using IIS 6 on a Windows Server 2003 PC, patched up to date.
There is an occassional problem where a filename in a directory
accessible via FTP will cause FTP clients to hang when getting a
directory listing. The filenames do not seem illegal in any way, and

Where would I find this "ftp log"?
I seem to have this same problem in both the BINARY to ASCII send modes.
Seems to also have the problem from a "batch script" or if I type the cmds
"by hand" from the cmd prompt.
Seems to also happen with "mput *.*" or just "put MyBigFile.txt".

ftp/ssl or ftp/ssh solution recommendation

Hello,
Has anyone used cygwin/OpenSSH or FreeFTPd or FreeSSHd or any other secure
FTP solution on a production server that they would recommend? The free
solutions are appealing of course, but I would like to know if that will end
up being a mistake.
