I have an application I've been running for over two years on three different
Windows 2000 Servers, but it fails on Windows 2003 Server (SP1, standard,
32-bit).
The reason the app fails is that IIS on the Win 2003 Server inserts a
forward slash in front of the file name in the 'target' column of the Inetl ...

anonymous read only vs users full control

I have setup an FTP site on a Windows 2003 Server and I need some help
configuring it so that it allows anonymous users Read only but any
authenticated users that are in the ACL full control.
It seems that if I turn on Read Only, it applies it to everyone including

Secure FTP

Hello all,
I would like to set up ftp for clients to be able to upload files to my
company. I am a little leary of this as I undestand that FTP is just
inherently unsecure. I have looked at requiring an active directory account
to log in but passwords are sent over the wire clear text if I'm not
mistaken ...

Spped of FTP between 2 GIGE boxes is so slow

I got 2 Win 2003 boxes with GIGE ports, the ping time is less then 1ms as
both of them are on the same switch. The FTP server is the built in FTP
server with IIS, while the client is CuteFTP.
When I tranfer files i am not getting any thing more then 30megs (out of the
