Question about IIS 6.0

I cannot reply yesterday's post, so I have to open a new thread here.
My question is about the log of IIS, usually at
C:\WINDOWS\system32\LogFiles\W3SVC1. This log was generated by http.sys, am I
right?
If there's requests from client, but no such requests recorded in the log
file. Does that means the http ...

I have IIS 6, windows 2003 server sp2 , asp , asp.net , sql express .
My application connects to the customer with Informix client 3.0 . The sql
express is used for other application.
In the event log appears "

Routing SMTP Emails Through a Separate Email Server

Is something wrong with http.sys?

Our enviroment is Win2k3 64, IIS 6, .net framework v2.0.50727.
The IIS will stop response after a while, but no clear rule to follow.
But when it's hanging up, there's no log in the mean time. Does that mean
http.sys stop receiving http request?
Or http.sys forard the request but does not log it, and it's W3SVC ...
