use Windows Search 4 from IIS?

Cannot access IIS via IP address outside of domain

I have a Sharepoint site that I want to access remotely using VPN. I am
using a home PC outside of the domain and so I am using the IP address

I also had the same problem in that my internet information services manager was unable to connect to servername.
I had to go into safe mode in order to delete the files in the inetsrv directory, but was able to do so then.
My problem was caused by a profile problem i believe.

Altering Priority of IIS

Is there a straightforward way of altering IIS's priority? My work
machine has certain scheduled scripts that call the server via HTTP
(so altering the calling process's priority isn't going to help), and
IIS's associated dllhost.exe then hogs the processor, stopping me
