hai,
i have toshiba laptop . every time i restart the sys getting an error
message that
NTLDR MISSING ctrl+alt del to restart . after that i select last known
good configuration its loading perfectly.
we don't have the original Laptop CD to trying for repairing.
please help ...

How can i move IIS Metabase to another computer?
I read that I have to remove machine-specific and system-specific
information from the exported file first before importing to another
computer, but how would it be for a Metabase holding 500 websites?

computer name change kills IIS?

They had to rename our computers this morning (the computer name, for access
to the network).
After they did that, my IIS sites are now all gone on my local machine.
The files are all there, but the sites set up under IIS (COMPUTER
MANAGEMENT) are gone and IIS appears to be disabled (both START and STOP

At the command prompt in WinDBG type:
.symfix <enter>
.reload <enter>
!analyze -v <enter>
That should get you the thread stack. It is most likely a crash in managed
code.

cannot recreate iuser and iwam accounts

somehow my iuser and iwam accounts got out of sync password wise on my
windows 2000 server used for wsus.
I read that the easiest way to fix this is to delete the accounts and reset
