Problem with MetadataHandler in WinFS SDK Documentation

I tried to implement the MetadataHandler example of the Microsoft WinFS SDK
Beta 1 Documentation. Everything worked fine and i got no errors, but when i
drag a *.topic file to the DefaultStore nothing happens. The file is not
promoted to an Element of the Topic Type. I have created and registered all

virtual filesystem

I'd like to have a virtual folder for a special device to be integrated into
explorer's filesystem view. The preferable way would be to have an individual
drive. But it is also acceptable to have a virtual folder. The only
requirement I have is that explorer should behave like for real filesystem

ODBC/JDBC interface?

There has been mention that an ADO.NET interface to WinFS
could be in Beta 2.
Is there any thought to creating an ODBC or JDBC interface as well ?

Backing file name ?

New to WinFS. For now when I create an item, the file uses the guid for this
item. I don't see how to define the name (or rename the file) from within
WinFS.
