Heya. I have a Dell Dimmension PC. (Dell error code 0F00:1378 shows up
when I use the Dell diagnostic, if that helps anything). I had recently had

I can't open any files on my computer. I get the following message
"Windows cannot access the specified device,path or file. You may not have
appropriate permissions to access the item."
Of course MSN Messenger works, which allows me to get to IE to add this
thread.

i deleted a program and my computer crashed. i started it up and pressed nter
to start up windows normally. it starts loading but then it stops and goes

My documents not responding in Explorer

When I try to get a file listing it either takes minutes or wont respond
(task manager says not responding).
The problem is in "my pictures". My pictures is 19GB in a 80GB disc. Even
"my computer" has a flashlight for minutes, or just sits there.
I have checked the disc (OK), defragmented the disc, and done ...

Cannot find file..

I place an URL (copy from Internet Explorer) on the desktop.
When I click this URL I recieve a message "Windows cannot find file http://
etc". A second later Internet Explorer starts up displaying the file in a
normal way.
How do I get rid of this message?

This is the error message I get when I start up my computer. It gets past the
first options screen (press F12 to bot from network etc), then it asks me
what mode I want to boot in, then any one I click on it loads XP Home for 2
seconds then an error screen comes up (the error code above) it does not
reboot ...

File Drop Down Menu

Ffrom the file tab the drop down menu has changed and open is no longer the
default. Search is now the default therefore when I click on a subfolder
instead of the folder opening the search window opens. How do I correct this
or change it to have OPEN be the default or first choice on the file drop
down ...
